Don’t Assume Anything.

Don’t assume. One of the many reasons why I advise clients not to speak with the police is because we don’t know what the police know, and what they don’t know. A person can admit to things that the police couldn’t prove just because they make an assumption that the police already have the proof. Or conversely, they assume the police don’t know something and make a statement that can be proven wrong. Neither situation is good.
